We took our first "solo" trip through the Chittendon Locks in Ballard, sharing the large lock with a ferry coming out of drydock. We cruised north, spending a blustery night in Useless Bay on the South end of Whidbey Island, then a much calmer night in Port Ludlow. Saturday night was Valentines' Day, the first anniversary of the start of the 2004 Refit. It was a much different experience this year....
